Kriti Sanon shares first glimpse of her surrogate appearance in upcoming ‘Mimi’ movie

The film is directed by Laxman Utekar who previously directed Kriti’s film “Luka Chuppi”.

‘Mimi’ will also star Pankaj Tripathi and Marathi actor, Saie Tamhanar, Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios, ‘Mimi’ is based on the Marathi film ‘Mala Aai Vhaaychy’ which won the National Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi in 2011.

Leaving no stone unturned for his role in the film, Kriti put 15 Kgs for his character.

“I’m very excited. It’s based on the subject of surrogacy but it’s actually the story of this young girl who wants to be an actress. She’s a dancer in Mandawa and she ends up being a surrogate for a couple. Then the things that follow change her life and also change her as a person, ”Kriti told IANS.

She added: “It’s a lot about me. It’s around this character Mimi. It’s very entertaining, a beautiful script. One of the most beautiful scripts I’ve read. You will have a lot of humor. and situational humor. At the same time, there are a lot of characters that you will bring home. “

In a group interview, PTI quoted Kriti as saying that she was bowled over by the script for the film, written by Rohan Shankar, who also wrote “Luka Chuppi”.

The actor said he was upset by the script for the film, written by Rohan Shankar, who also wrote “Luka Chuppi”.

“It’s a very special role for me because surrogacy is a topic that hasn’t been explored as much here. The way Laxman sir makes the movie and the way Rohan wrote it, they’ve got the gift of taking a topic and making it entertaining. ” Kriti said the success of “Luka Chuppi” gave him the confidence to take risks and got him to sign the film.

On the job front, Kriti will next be seen in the Pan-India film, ‘Adipurush’ with Prabhas, ‘Bachchan Pandey’, ‘Bhediya’, ‘Hum Do Hamaare Do’, ‘Ganapath’ and another unannounced project.
